Dining with Diabetes: Can It Help You?
Have you have been diagnosed with diabetes? Do you live with or care for someone with diabetes? Or do you just want to learn how to eat healthier?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, MSU Extension’s Dining with Diabetes program is for you.
Dining with Diabetes is an exclusive program offered by Cooperative Extensions across the United States. In the four-lesson program, you will learn to plan a menu, control portions, count carbohydrates, read labels, and understand nutrition.
Dining with Diabetes Mississippi includes instruction on basic diabetes and nutrition information and demonstrations of modified cooking techniques of familiar foods.

1. Living Well with Diabetes
2. Carbohydrates and Sweeteners
3. Fats and Sodium
4. Vitamins, Minerals, and Fiber/Putting it All Together
5. Follow-up (optional)
Developed by Extension educators for the public, the program is delivered by Extension agents and diabetes health professionals.
