Little Lagoon Living Shoreline Workshop for Property Owners

Monday, April 14, 2025 -
5:00pm - 7:00pm

Gulf Shores Activity Center
260 Clubhouse Dr
Gulf Shores, AL 36542

Join us for a workshop on living shorelines, where Little Lagoon property owners will learn about environmentally friendly alternatives to traditional bulkheads for shoreline protection and erosion control.

What is a Living Shoreline?
A living shoreline is a natural approach to shoreline stabilization that uses native plants like marsh grasses, along with other natural elements, to protect against erosion and improve coastal habitats.

Why Attend?
Discover how living shorelines can help combat erosion and learn about our available resources to assist you. Our Living Shoreline Technical Assistance Program provides property owners with free services, including shoreline assessments, living shoreline design, and  permitting assistance. Additionally, our cost-share program offers financial support to help cover material costs for projects below the mean high water line.

Event Details:
Join MSU Extension Associates on Monday, April 14, from 5-7 PM at the Gulf Shores Activity Center for an informative session tailored to your property's needs. We will work directly with each property owner to explore the best options for your shoreline.
