Natural resources workshop set for March 1 in Rolling Fork
ROLLING FORK, Miss. -- Landowners and hunting clubs eager to earn extra income while improving land management for wildlife are invited to attend a Natural Resource Enterprises Business Workshop.
The March 1 event will be at the Community Center in Rolling Fork.
“Landowners and farmers can seek new and innovative ways to earn extra income,” said Daryl Jones, professor of wildlife, fisheries and aquaculture with the Mississippi State University Extension Service. “These workshops are designed for landowners interested in learning about developing enterprises from the natural resources on their property or simply learning more about wildlife and business management.”
Attendees will learn about marketing, ways to reduce liability, recreational enterprise potential, available cost-share programs, management for waterfowl and other natural resources, and nuisance wildlife, such as wild hogs.
