Mandatory Dicamba Applicator Training and Amended Dicamba Labeling

Dicamba Labeling Changes

On March 15, 2022, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) approved amended labeling for XtendiMax® Herbicide with VaporGrip® Technology (EPA Reg. No. 264-1210), Engenia® Herbicide (7969-472), and Tavium® Plus VaporGrip® Technology Herbicide (100-1623). Users must have in their possession at the time of application all labeling applicable to their location, including state-specific and collateral labels, for these products to be lawfully applied after March 15, 2022.

As part of the amended labeling, all applicators must check the application requirements website for the over-the-top dicamba product they will be using (see links below) no more than 7 days before application for:

  • additional labeling, including state restrictions
  • a complete list of nozzles
  • volatility reduction adjuvants (VRA)
  • drift reduction adjuvants (DRA)
  • drift reduction technology (DRT)
  • other herbicides, pesticides, and additives approved for use with the product

Where applicable, applicators must comply with additional requirements found on the product’s website. Links to both state-specific and collateral labeling can be accessed from the manufacturer’s website.

Dicamba Training and Resources

In Mississippi, mandatory dicamba applicator training is provided by the manufacturers of the products. Training for purchasers is no longer required.
